A new school, the International English School, is currently being built in Norrtälje, Sweden. The school will have a music room and four music studios, which requires high sound insulation.
To ensure that the requirements are met, Vibratec was asked to both supply the materials and to do the complete installations of floating floors and ceilings. The sound insulation was ensured by using systems VT-SFC (single frame ceiling) and VT-BAT (floor battens). Additionally, Vibratec’s new Dampening Glue – DG-2000 was used in the installation. This is a water-based acrylic viscoelastic damping glue for constrained layer applications.
These solutions ensure that various types of teaching can take place in neighboring rooms without disturbing one another.
