Vibratec has been awarded a grant from Vinnova for the development of a new earthquake damper for buildings.
It is based on friction damping by use of wires and is thus a further development of Vibratec’s existing wire damper concept Vinnova is Sweden’s innovation agency working under the Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation. The development project begins this spring and will last until the end of next year.
